Michaela-photo-150x150Michaela Bruckmayer has received a European Research Council PhD Studentship to conduct research on migration governance in North/Central America at the University of Sheffield.

Previously, Michaela worked as a Research Consultant and Visiting Scholar at the Center for Gender & Refugee Studies (CGRS) at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. There she worked on two research studies which, funded by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, focused on Unaccompanied Minors and on child migration from Central America and Mexico to the United States. She holds a Master of International Affairs and a Bachelor of Business Administration.
